Parthenon

The beautiful parthenon is the most famous and best preserved Ancient Greek temple standing to this day. It is the main attraction on the top of Acropolis that looks over Athens. Parthenon was built between 447-432 BC on top of a former temple of Athena that was destroyed by Persians in 480 BC. Standing at 39 ft high, this was once the largest and most extravagant temple and the finest example of Greece architecture. Even to this day visitors from all of the world can sit and envision how it once looked.
