Artist’s Recreation of Claude Monet
1869
#3 of 3 of the Master Series. Claude Monet born 1840 was a French painter and founder of impressionist painting and practiced the philosophy of expressing one’s perceptions before nature. Monet was the figure of impressionist movement that transformed French painting. In Bain a la Grenouillere, depicts flower pot island, a floating restaurant, boats, swimmers, and people crossing the gangplanks. In this painting Monet painted in plein air along the side of Pierre-Auguste Renoir where they experimented with unmixed colors, and short comma like brushstrokes which they came to value the sketchy unfinished look of their work.
